Peter Okoye continues to speak out against his twin brother, Paul Okoye, over allegations of song theft.
Recall that Paul Okoye had alleged that his twin brother, Peter, and their former producer plagiarized his song “Winning”, which he claimed to have written and recorded for a future release, only to discover Peter had released the same song, prompting Paul to vow to expose any further copyright infringement by releasing his original versions.
Now Peter Okoye has fired back at his brother Paul’s song theft allegations, sharing a phone conversation with the producer to clear his name. He asked rhetorically if someone can steal from themselves, then told Paul to let him make music without interference, pleading with him to stop spreading negativity and allow him to enjoy his new single in peace.
While marking a milestone of 1 million views for his song’s music video in just one day, Peter Okoye continued to address the controversy, sharing proof that he and the song’s composer had actually guided Paul on his parts, emphasizing that whenever falsely accused, he will retaliate with evidence to defend himself.
“Call us names, call us childish; it is fine. I understand, but if anyone says anything false about me and I have evidence, then I have a right to defend myself. Let’s stay WINNING.

Last June, blogger Stella Dimokokorkus sparked controversy by claiming that a rift was developing among the Okoye brothers, specifically between PSquare (Peter and Paul) and their older brother, Jude Okoye, over allegations that Jude was mismanaging and diverting their shared funds.
In July 2024, Instagram blogger Cutie Juls reported that Paul Okoye and his older brother, Jude, were taken into custody by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Paul later confirmed the arrest, taking to Instagram to express relief and gratitude after being cleared by the commission, emphatically stating that his wealth comes from his successful music career, not illicit activities.
Paul Okoye revealed in an interview that his twin brother, Peter, was responsible for his and their older brother Jude’s December 2023 arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), shedding light on the strained relationship between the siblings.
Peter Okoye responded to Paul’s interview, dismissing the allegations and shifting the focus to their troubled relationship. He expressed disappointment that Paul aligned with their older brother Jude to allegedly undermine and belittle him, instead of collaborating to revive their musical dominance. Peter also claimed Paul has consistently disrespected him, his family, wife, talent, and ideas.
