Paul Okoye accuses producer of intellectual theft, alleging they leaked and re-recorded his unreleased songs, including one with his twin brother Peter Okoye.
Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) claimed his unreleased song “Winning” was stolen and released by his twin brother Peter Okoye, using the same producer.
Rudeboy expressed outrage, stating that six of his submitted songs were being re-recorded verbatim, asking why his original work was being copied and replicated without his consent or credit.
“Song title: WINNING
Written and sang by RUDEBOY
Produced by same producer.
NOW HOW COME? NOW AM I SUPPOSE TO RELEASE ANOTHER VERSION? Mr Producer, your case is for another day.
Just a simple thing: Bring 6 songs, let me bring 6 songs. I Submitted 6 songs to the so-called management. Why re-singing my own song? word for word. Song that was supposed to be in my album next year, June”
He declared on Instagram that he will no longer tolerate exploitation, vowing to release his authentic versions of any songs that are illegally replicated or re-recorded.
“The days of manipulation are over!!
And to the management, make I hear any song wey na only me sing, I go release the original version.
Oloriburuku!!
Music is not that hard!!”
As it is already known that, the popular music duo Psquare has reportedly split again due to allegations of financial mismanagement, specifically claims that their older brother, Jude Okoye, mishandled their joint funds.
Paul Okoye revealed in an interview that his twin brother, Peter Okoye, had him and their older brother, Jude Okoye, arrested by the commission in December 2023, but following an investigation, Paul was cleared of all allegations and declared innocent.
Peter Okoye responded to Paul’s interview, refuting the arrest allegations and clarifying that he had only filed a petition with the commission against their older brother, Jude Okoye, accusing him of embezzling their funds into a secret account shared with his wife, and emphasizing that he never sought Paul’s arrest.
Peter Okoye expressed disappointment that Paul, instead of collaborating to revive their musical dominance, allegedly aligned with Jude Okoye to undermine and belittle him, and accused Paul of consistently disrespecting him, his family, wife, talent, and creative ideas.
