“Many of the people we call Ogbanje are spiritually gifted” – Yul Edochie enlightens Nigerians

Yul Edochie, a Nollywood actor and former presidential aspirant, has publicly defended individuals labeled as “Ogbanje.”

Yul Edochie posted on Instagram, redefining individuals labeled “Obganje” as spiritually endowed persons destined to positively impact humanity. However, due to societal pressures, religious misconceptions, and fear of judgment, many deny their true nature, leading to personal turmoil and a distorted life path.

He urged individuals with spiritual gifts to introspect, accept, and harness their true identities, rather than suppressing them due to societal expectations or fear. By embracing their authenticity, they will discover their life’s purpose and live a genuinely fulfilling life.

“Many people we call ‘Ogbanje’ are people who are spiritually gifted. And the essence of having such a spiritual gift is to use it to help humanity.

But because of ignorance, religion, and the fear of what people will say, they keep trying to run away from who they are, and by doing so, their lives become messed up.

Dig deep, find your true self, and embrace it, and you’ll realize the essence of your existence and live a fulfilled life”.

Yul Edochie previously stood up for residents of Mbaise town, condemning harmful stereotypes that fueled unnecessary fear and mistrust. He shared his positive personal experiences with individuals from Mbaise, highlighting their kindness and good deeds, and urged rumor spreaders to cease perpetuating harmful narratives.

Yul Edochie cautioned Nigerians against dismissing the power of Jesus’ name, emphasizing its potency and significance. While acknowledging potential flaws in Western-imposed Christianity, he distinguished between the institution and the divine authority, warning that denying Jesus’ power invites personal downfall and spiritual peril.

Furthermore, yul Edochie recently made a passionate plea to Nigerians during Easter, urging them to stop destroying shrines and deities, emphasizing that not all deities are inherently evil . He pointed out that Western colonization had brainwashed people into believing their traditions were evil, leading to a loss of cultural identity .

According to Yul, this misconception was deliberately perpetuated to facilitate slavery and control over indigenous populations .He encouraged Nigerians to reclaim their heritage and appreciate the value of their traditional practices, many of which acknowledge the existence of a supreme God.
