On Thursday,the Nigerian military troops declared the arrest of the founder father of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
In a press briefing, Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations noted that the IPOB leader known as Pius Iguh was arrested in an operation by the Nigerian military troops connected to Operation Udoka in the Southeast region of Nigeria.
It was during the operation in Orau, Imo State, Amaruku and Arochukwu in Abia State which is their hideout that they got arrested.
It was recorded that twenty-four terrorists were killed and the other twelve were arrested.
He further noted that suspects were handed over to authorities for further investigation and their hostage were released.
He stated, “Troops at Forward Operation Base, Orsu, conducted a sting operation that culminated in the arrest of an IPOB terrorist leader.
“The arrested terrorist leader, identified as Pius Iguh, is a founding father of the ESN group in the Orsu general area of Imo State.”
