FG, SSANU, NASU set to meet over strike action

Reports have it that the Federal Government is to meet with the Joint Action Committee of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities on October 31.

This development was revealed by the vice president of SSANU, Abdussobur Salaam, stated that meeting would begin around 11.00 am to discuss the ongoing strike actions and the unpaid salaries that lingered more than three months.

Abdussobur Salaam stated that it was on Wednesday that the union received an official invitation from the Federal Government.

He said, “We received a formal invitation last night. The meeting is scheduled for 11 am today. It will be presided over by the Minister of State for Education and will be held in the Minister’s Conference Room.”
