Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State encouraged President Tinubu to increase his efforts in addressing the economic challenges faced by Nigerians to meet the expectations of the public.
He added that while the government is working hard to address the challenges, there is a need for an increased support from the people.
While speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, he praised the government for working hard but also emphasized the need for an immediate action to address the problem in the country.
Fayose said, “It is not been too easy, that is the truth for Nigerians.”
“This government is naturally giving their best, but their best still needs to be upped.”
Fayose emphasized particularly on inflation and fuel price hike and how this challenges have subjected the citizens of the country.
He encouraged Tinubu’s administration to fasten their belt and implement proactive measures while stating it is a call to an urgent action and time is needed to accomplish this strategic change to yield positive outcomes.
“If you say they need time, people will begin to question…what time do they need?” Fayose asked.
Economic analysts expresses concern on how Tinubu’s monetary policies have contributed to inflation and rise of the cost essential goods.
Fayose expressed positivity on the efforts of the government but cautioned on the impatience of the citizens while addressing the economic challenges.
