EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Born on May 6, 1976, he has become a familiar voice in Nigerian media. Daddy Freeze, was raised in a multicultural household, born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, to a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother.
Growing up primarily in Ibadan, he studied at the International School Ibadan and obtained a sociology degree from the University of Ibadan.
His upbringing in Oyan Town, Osun State, has influenced his perspectives and contributions to societal discussions.
CAREER
Freeze began his broadcasting career in 1996 with BCOS in Ibadan before joining Cool FM in 2001.
He has worked in radio presenting, television, and event hosting across Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK.
As the leader of the #FreeTheSheeple Movement and founder of the Free Nation Online Church in 2017, Freeze criticizes societal norms and religious practices.
Despite leaving Cool FM in 2020, he continues to make an impact through his movement and church.
Recognized as the first inductee into Cool FM’s Hall of Fame for his broadcasting contributions.
PERSONAL LIFE
Freeze was previously married to Opeyemi Olarinde, with whom he shares two children.
Their divorce was contentious, involving accusations of adultery and domestic abuse, but they were eventually able to complete the process and move on.
Freeze is now with Benedicta Elechi, a divorcee with five children, including three from her previous marriage, her legally adopted niece, and a son with Daddy Freeze.
